I was wondering if was ok to use PVC as homes or hiding places for fish? Will it leach anything bad into the water? :help:

No, in fact I used PVC for a custom filtration system. Just make sure you rinse it decently before you put it in.

As a general rule, if it's safe for potable water, it's safe for fish. Elbows and TEE's make great decoration if used tastefully.
