Cleaning with ammonia?

ok, As I was rinsing my New/used tank, I got to thinking, and was wondering why I couldn't clean it up with Pure ammonia diluted, its the same stuff i will be cycling with. It would be rinsed out really well. so why wouldn't this work?

I've actually sanitized my hospital tank with pure ammonia when I had no bleach. If allowed to air dry, all the ammonia will dissapate into the atmosphere in the form of ammonia gas leaving no residue.
