Are you looking for powerheads? I am not familiar with 'underwater jet systems'. Sorry.

No not power heads.I read an article about underwaters jet system's but I can't find it now.I'm getting a 75gal. tank and I think this will help me out with water movement. There little nozels that are placed in the bottom of the tank to help with water movement.

Yes, there is lots of info in that thread mhmh referred you to. Both Luca and I have built them and use them in our tanks

I didn't exactly follow the same method of using PVC in the tank - instead I used vinyl tubing. You can see some pics at my website - the link is in my signature below.

I will say that almost all my fish LOVE this. My clown loaches and cory cats all love to ride the surf so to speak. Its fun to watch them position themselves near a jet and play around in the current.

good luck

On mine Im using a RIO 1700 submersible and 1/2" PVC. Im running 5 jets. It works great at keeping the food/waste off of the substrate! Since Im using Black Beauty Sand I needed to coat the PVC with some sand so it wouldnt show through easily. All I did was coat the assembled PVC with silicone, then throw some sand onto it. Put a couple of coats on and Viola invisible pipe. Of you are using a white substrate or gravel you probably wont have to worry about this.

Another thing you want to do is to make sure you test everything out before gluing the pipe together (if you glue it at all). I left each jet unglued so I could swivel them around if I wanted to. The only thing Id like to have different would be to locate the pump outside of the tank instead of having it consume space in there. Id probably need to use a powerhead to do this.

Tour - I think you found it on my site - but my tank is 72 gallons and I have 3 jets running off a maxi-jet 1200 Powerhead.

As far as the Mopani wood, one of the 2 LFS stores I go to had it. The store I frequent the most just had regular driftwood - that is where I got the large driftwood centerpiece in my tank. the other store that I occassionally go to though had this Mopani Wood. I was really surprised to find it. I like it much better than regular driftwood. Its very dense, does not float, has some great shape and character to it, and the coloration varies.
