Hi All. Haven't posted in a while. I have aquired some new cichlids and expanded my aquariums to 18 tanks all in my bedroom.LOL I am a South american and dwarf cichlid nut/addict/freak you name it I am. I have currently 9 different apistos 1 species of acara 1 species of Dicrossus 1 species of ram 3 discus. I also keep Killies. i LOVE the apistos... i just wish i could find them around here.

i like your discus too, does your peppering ever go away? i heard a whiter background and white rocks will make it virtually disappear.

Peppering doesn't go away. The best bet to get rid of it (if you don't like it, some people do), is to go BB with a light colored backround. Even then, fish with heavy peppering will retain quite a bit of it.

:dance: :read: Thanks For the Compliments ChevGirl kcooley. I got most of my Apistos off aquabid and from apistodave directly. Have you tryied www.below water.com they are located in montreal canada Sort of across the border from you. also check out www.apistogamma.com lot of cool hobbyist some might be in your area/neck of the cntry. Ihavwe never heard of lighter gravel/background would help but I am new to discuss I got all three at the size of a pilsbury reg biscit can size for $16 ea at some local auctions all are steindker blood lines from germany.
