Building a large tank

Hey I am considering building a very large tank in my basement and was wondering if anyone has information on using cinderblocks for the walls and then inserting large acrylic sheets for windows, or anything of the sort, it would be a permanant type tank i guess. Figuring i never have much luck finding what i am looking for on the internet i am asking, i have already looked at the GARF site, they only have information on plywood/glass tanks, nothing on cement.

I do know that the cement has to cure for a wile before its fish safe, but i would also seal it with the 2 part epoxy paint.

I dont know of a site either, but in Delbeeks and Sprungs new book they have a little info on them, Reef Aquaria vol. 3.

Far as I would know, just put up cinderblocks cemented together and epoxy paint em, like 6-7 coats, install the acrylic with some sylicone and some sort of jacks to press it against the front and you should be good, *BASICALLY*

Just remember to PRE plumb it.

call up your state aquarium if youve got one, or some contractors if they havent done it before im sure they'd have atleast some idea.

Yea i can try that, the closest one to me is underwater world i guess, i havent been there, i guess its a good excuse to go and look around and try to talk to one of the smart people there.
