I've got 3 Black Mollies in my 20 gal that seem to eat all the food. I suppose everyone gets what the need, or they'd try harder, but I'm concerned about my cories. The cories are always scowering the bottom, as corries do, but I feel like no food is getting to them. When I put in sinking food, the Mollies just bully everyone out of the way and eat it all up.

Any ideas?

I'm considering doing a major overhaul of the species that I have. :)

that's what mollies do best! hehe. If you're really worried about the cories, feed them some shrimp pellets or something after the lights have gone out. One advantage they have on the mollies is the ability to see in the dark. Kyle

Sweet, super fish! Shrimp pellets it is. What about sinking wafers? It's just that I already have a bag of those.

I guess I always felt like the fish should eat at feeding time. :) Never thought about taking advantage of their natural abilities to beat out the other fish. They are just babies though (about 4-5 months), so it may take them a while to become adept scavengers.

I have a tank full of barbs who are pretty much tropical goldfish (AKA Pigs). I feed my bottomfeeders sinking spirulina/algae wafers while the barbs get flakes at the top. Works well for me and everybody gets well fed.

Depends on the "sinking wafers". Many of the wafers are vegetarian, eventhough they have a photo of a cory on the bag. Corydoras are carnivores and need protein in their diet. The wafers are not bad for them, just shouldn't be their whole diet. You should vary all fishes diets as much as you can. How healthy would you be if you only ate whole-wheat bread the rest of your life? I feed my cories shrimp pellets (Omega 1 and "that fish place" are the best I have found), flakes, frozen bloodworms and whatever else depending on the other fish in the tank. They really like the bloodworms. sometimes they will even come topwater and eat freezedried bloodworms or tubifex worms. They may even eat live brineshrimp but I've never witnessed it. If you wanted to you could even put some sort of tray on the bottom to put live worms into, they'd love that. some type of vegetable matter would be good for them on occasion. KYle

I have a bunch of greedy guppies who aren't necessarily bullies just piggies. I too feed my corys sinking shrimp pellets plus they slurp up a bit of algae and waste tropical flakes. My dojos don't seem to have very good eyesight but a greast sense of smell. I always feed them after the lights go out so the guppies can't get the pellets. The corys jump right in with the dojos. I would say my corys are approximately the same age as yours and they have no problem scavaging.
