I not a newbie at aquariums by a long shot but I just started up a new tank after having a very bad spell of bad fish from a bad supplier. But I recently purchased a 20 gallon high tank. Currently, I have a Florida Gar in there with three Gold Channel Catfish and three Firemouth Cichlids. I am wanting to get a couple more fish, any suggestions on another two or 3 small fish that would be compatible or 1 medium size fish that would be compatible.

i agree, channel cats can get up to 60 inches, firemouths up to 6 inches and the gar..HUGE, if your not a newbie, then you would know how to stcok a tank..especially one that small

Unless you are just messing with us, you MUST research your fish BEFORE you buy them. None of your fish are suitable for a 20 gallon. YOu should return them and buy smaller fish. But this is how u learn, pet store staff don't always help.

Yeah Those fish are majorly to big for your tank. After All.
Florida Gar: Size: 50", Mininmum tank: 200 Gallons
Channel Catfish: Size: 48", Minimum tank: 350 Gallons
Couldn't find anything on the firemouth cichlid.
These fish are way too big as you can tell. Trade them in and mabye get some tetras or small barbs. Once again TRADE THEM IN!

The only fish remotely suitable for that tank are the firemouths. Even then, I would suggest only one male and one female. Otherwise, take everything else back to where it came.
