Hello. I have what I was told was an Agazzi cory, but based on pics I've looked at on google, I believe is most likely a bronze cory. Anyway...we had 2 and I had to put one of them to sleep today because of fin rot that I could not reverse....I found that some of our other fish (Larger Tetras) were bullying this fish and biting his fins and we took them back to the store, but it was too late for our little guy
. The problem now is that our other cory, who is much larger, seems to spend all of his time hiding in his rock! Is this normal for a cory? When I brought them home I feel that they were a lot more active. All of my levels are good (ammonia, ph, etc.) and the other fish (6 very small neon tetras and 2 platys) are doing great. Is he hiding because the other tetras were bullies? If so, will he ever realize that the threat is gone? Is he lonely? He looks healthy, but I wonder could he be sick? I should note that we have a 10 gallon tank and AFTER we returned the bullying Tetras, we THEN purchased the small neons.....we never had more than 8 fish in our tank. Also, one of the treatments we tried for the fin rot included adding aquarium salt to the tank.....but now I have found conflicting info on the safety of salt and corys....I dissolved about 2 tsps. in water and then added it to the tank.....could the salt have hurt him? Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated...I want him to be happy and feel safe in his home! Jen
