It is ok as long as the shrimp are raw and I believe that those rings are cooked:D

You can feed cooked food as well, but the nutritional value of the food diminishes after cooking. Plus, it tends to be more expensive to buy precooked seafood...which especially sucks when you're not the one eating it. :)

I get uncooked shrimp and squid from the fresh Seafood guy at the grocery store. The shrimp is $5.99 a pound, but I usually only buy 2 or 3 shrimp at a time for my anemone.

If you are looking for a bigger quantity of shrimp, you can buy frozen, uncooked shrimp, squid and other foods at bait shops. It's cheaper and you can make your own 'prime reef' type cubes. (you just need a blender and a few ice cube trays)
