My Horned BP

so i have a BP about 5 inches long, nice finage, looks like there is one continueous fin that raps all around the body cause the dorsal and tail and anal all overlap. The stinker is he has a horn. I've been told breeders sometimes cut the dorsal of these guys and the muscle underneath so they have a horn on the head. its just a fins but its wicked cool....... just sharing.....

I think I saw on when tring to find interesting pics and was called a unicorn parrot. I hope I is just a part of the hybridizing in some individuals and not actually cut to look that way. How much did you pay and was it color dyed?

I just checked your first thread. I am 13 to. Beta Luvn is just 1 year off from us at 14. looks like you are into the odballs and blood parrots too. sounds good. I am always on the search for a nice oddball. Right now my hunt is for the mudskipper. so what exactly do you have in all your tanks? I know how it can age limit you, hobby funding wise

It really does limit what you can do with tanks, we got new hardwood floors, and just doing a water change is tough.....

get a towel, oh you spilled a little, especially when moms in a bad move its REALLY tough to do a water change ; )


Let alone the fact that the tank i thougth was a thirty is a twenty and i want a thirty, but now way is that going to happen.....

i got him for free. it was a "deformity" so the store had to give him away. normaly around a 30$ fish I think. tanks:

great!!! you said that the BP was free. so was mine, but it was because the store didn't have enough room and someone just droped him off. Is the horn sopposed to be deformidy that resulted in the free Blood?

yup the horn... it doesnt disable him. He'd be wicked cool if he were black.
