It doesn't cure cancer or even all types, only some. It reduces the odds by 50%, leaving that other 50% odds for you to get it. And like many "cures" or "causes" (ie; everything these days) of cancer give it a few weeks or months for someone to find it can also increase the chances of some other kind of cancer or disease.

So really it's just a temporary boost for the vitamin-D sellers and a few health nuts, then it'll go away as people realize it's not a cure-all cancer solution and may in fact cause some other kind of cancer.

Ironic, considering that the reason a lot of people use sunscreen is to prevent skin cancer.

Indeed. I think most people need to get some more sunlight. I think alot of people make a big mistake by using tanning beds instead as well. You dont get anything good from those, and still greatly increase risk of skin cancer.

Whoa...
If you are in the US..odds are you are drinking milk fortified with Vitamin D..and there is such thing at too much of a good thing..
If you don't drink much milk, what would be the best dose?

Of course, sunlight in moderation, and I too don't like the idea of tanning beds..

What are you, a nurse?

:D

People think that vitamins..herbal supplements, etc are "harmless" becasue they are over the counter, so why not take them they may do some good.

Not necessarily the case. Fat soluable vitamins can build up in your system and have toxic effects. Water soluable vitamins don't..excess is just excreted from the body. So if you want to pee out your $$ go for it and take stuff you don't need. You need to take in sufficient amounts, but people that eat a varied balanced diet get what they need. People with health problems are a different story.
