I'm not a gambling man so the only thing I can do is make my predictions and look like a fool if I'm wrong. So here my predictions:

Sugar Bowl I think will go to Georgia, but will not give a point spread as I am Not Highly familiar with either team. West Virginia is well known for suprises and rising to the occasion so it will probably be a good game.

The orange Bowl, I think will go to Penn State by 14. Florida State is always a tough Bowl team, but Penn state is solid this year and IMO they have not gotten the credit they deserve (media wise. The number 3 ranking is deserved) Florida State is questionable as to whether or not they truly deserve to be there. It will be a good game to see.

Now, I'm done waffling around. I'm sure I'll get flamed for the next two, but I suggest watching the games and then slamming me if you have cause.

Fiesta Bowl: Ohio State by at least 28. Notre Dame has only beaten three teams this year that even had a winning season. They have had some luck, but are not a solid championship team. They have a great tradition of losing in bowl games. IMO Notre Dame did not desrve the bid at all, but were put there because of their popularity and the money it could earn. This will be a rout. I am a Notre Dame Fan of sorts, but I am Dissapointed that Ohio State was not given a more formidable opponent for the fiesta bowl.

Ohio State is of course the greatest team on the planet, even if they don't win every game each year. The Texas Game could have gone either way especially if our starting Quarterback had not had a DA attack last year and gotten himself suspended. Furthermore because of that action our Coach chose to put in the wrong Quarterback when it mattered, knowing full well that Justin Zwick has never done anything but choke when a game was on the line. So Texas Brought their best game to the "shoe" and we got beat. All excuses aside Texas deserves the national champoinship.
Penn State beat us in Happy Valley, No excuses need to be made for that loss.

Rose Bowl: Texas by 21 at least. USC has not played a defense that could compare to Texas remotely. They have not played an offense that could compare to Texas remotely. They almost lost to Notre Dame (see above opinioon of Notre Dame) USC furthermore has played a fairly easy schedule throughout the season, so they may look impressive, but who did they look impressive against? USC does have the best running back in the nation IMO, but that will not matter when he has no where to go against a defense that does not miss tackles. Texas has been for the most part Flawless in every aspect of the game. they play with heart, they play against the odds and they do not comprehend losing. There has only been one team come close to Texas this year, and we all knew at the time we were playing for the National Championship.

Have fun with this, I will not argue my point, just wait and watch then bash me If I'm wrong. Anyone else crazy enough to open this can of worms feel free to post your predictions as well.

Well, seeing as how I was born and raised a UT fan, I think your predictions about the Rose Bowl sound about right. I thought the BCS computer judged things like sterngth of schedule, conference, margin of victory etc. But, if it really did, I think Texas would have been ranked differently throughout the year.

I mean their total offense and defense and where they rank amongst all of College Football is well above USC. At any rate, I am looking forward to the game and really hoping that Coach Brown can get the double dip in beating OU and winning a National Championship in the same season.

I think something was changed in the strength of schedule department. Not sure but I have heard rumors. Additionally Strength of scedule rating only work when the teams involved play overlapping opponents. So it's hard to say.
Those of us who live near The Horseshoe have known Texas was number 1 since the second game of our season. We don't pretend to like it, but all credit is due to a great UT team.
The crux of the matter is that USC was last years Champion, and no one has beaten them so flat out they deserve the ranking despite the fact that they haven't had the difficult schedule that other schools have had. Texas will decide who the new national champ is, I just hope they blow it out enough to elevate a couple of other far more deserving teams into the number 2 and three spots.

I only watch football if I can make sarcastic remarks about the cheerleaders. Since that's frowned upon, I avoid the opportunity.

I watched some football in high school and college, mostly because football player boyfriends tend to frown upon their girlfriends NOT watching the game. I was dumped in college by one of my football player boyfriends because I didn't go to the homecoming game. :D

Now, my hubby only cares to watch the Buffalo Bills, and that comes down to seeing maybe 2-3 games a year.
