Rubbermaid tub to hold canister filter?

What's the pros/cons of using a Rubbermaid tub or similar container to hold a canister filter?

I'm thinking of this for leakage, keeping it out of sight, and situating it where my nosy cat won't get into trouble :)

Not sure if keeping it enclosed would be a problem ... a container like this would be a little different from placing the canister under a cabinet.

Shouldn't be a problem with the proper holes cut in it. The system runs airless and gets cooled by the constant flow of water. I keep mine in a cupboard and in a metal pan to catch the drip and small leaks when I clean the media.
