The top of my tank is covered in bubbles. I just changed the water in the tank I did about a 70% water change. I did a big one because I just had ich and I wanted to get out all the salt that I used for the treatment. The parameters are
Amonia: 0-0.25ppm
Nitrites: 0ppm
Nitrates: 5ppm
Does anyone know what the bubbles covering the top of tank are. They are almost covering the whole top. Just small slimmy bubbles

It could just be from the fact you changed so much water. I can't remember all the specifics but often with new tanks or large water changes, some of the gas bubbles in the water form up into larger bubbles that are visible like that. It's either oxygen or carbon dioxide I think. The bubbles are harmless in any event. The slime is likely a film of some sort, another thing I can't remember the specifics of but I don't think it's dangerous either.

my 55 did the same thing after a 20% wc..
they bubbles went away after a few hours.
The bubbles are dissolved gasses (mostly nitrogen) in the water that are comng out of solution. The water in your pipes are kept under pressure allowing more gas to dissolve in the water. When you fill the tank up, you relieve the pressure and the gasses come out of solution much like opening a can of soda. It will go away by itself.

I thought it wouldn't be harmful. Thanks for all the help

Also, possible that you had something on your hands and/or arms that got into the tank? Soap? Sometimes we forget and it doesn't take much for bubbles to form.

lol!
i noticed zillions of bubbles after using parasite clear from jungle (is that the right name)...i wrote it off as being caused by the effervescent action. still getting the bubbles though after more water changes, but less! maybe there is just an accumulation on the glass at the water level.
i also get the tiny bubbles after a water change in the water, and the hob's current pushes bubbles back down from the surface....which my fish think is food...lol.
