I have a 10g tank and it is stocked with the following:

1 black molly
1 swordtail
3 bloodfin tetras
3 male guppies
3 cory cats

Am I overstocked? Or would it be safe to add 3 more cories? I keep reading that they are better off with a school of 6 and would like to add more. Any advice?

It really depends on how well you keep your tank clean. You could be able to add 3 more cories, but that would be it. What type of filtration do you use?

Depends what kind of cories, various species grow from 1-3 inches. I think three more would be fine. You have small fish so they dont create too much waste, as long as you have a good filter and do regular water changes. Also, if you have live plants, you can keep more fish because they keep the water cleaner and oxygenate it.

I have a penguin bio wheel and I clean my tank once a week and by clean I mean siphoning the gravel and sucking all the junk out. I also do an additional water change in between the major clean just because I am paranoid about my levels staying where they should be. I have a test kit and all of my levels are fine but I just want to be on the safe side. My cories look like peppered cories if that helps although I am not sure what kind they are. They are only about an inch long and I have had them for 3 months. As for my plants, they are all fake. Some of them are plastic as well as silk.

you should be fine then sounds like you take very good care of the water in the tank and other than the existing cories you dont have anything that stays at the bottom
