i have discus, neons, cory, glofish, but i also want something else. something that looks cool and doesn't tend to mess with anything or has a socker mouth. i was thinking of a small fire eel. i heard they're nice. i like sting rays, but they are no good with discus or small fish. i like colors too.

Some of the Rams are pretty cooll and go great in a Amazonian tank.

females have blue blotches in the black spot and also tend to have red breast... males get a little bigger also

The most reliable way to tell is the amout of spines in there dorsal fin. the other way mentioned dose not work because of diferent origins and colors (bolivians, germans, ect.). this method is reliable no matter what the type. I will pull up a page telling about it:

On another note, fish farms usually keep females to use in there breeding line, and they juice the males up on hormones so they show off there color to the fullest. There is usually a female or 2 in a bach of males at the store tank.
