Best way to treat bacterial infections?

What is the best product to use to treat a bacterial infection?

I'm mostly wondering about how effective Melafix is. I've used Mardel products in the past like Maracyn. Or are there any other suggestions?

I just noticed some red streaks on my angel's fins and would like to get her taken care of ASAP, but I also want to use the most effective medicine available.

Red Streaks sounds like septicemia. I would go full blown maracyn/maracyn 2 in a QT tank as soon as possible. Melafix won't do anything for this beast.

Should I worry about the other fish currently in the tank?

if the bacteria infected one fish, it will be in the water of the main tank. If you keep water conditions perfect and limit stress the others should be fine. Right now you want to get the fish with active infection away from the others and start treating it. Septicemia is very hard to cure once you have it so I wish you the best of luck.
