New Platy- Ripped tail fin

Got home from petsmart the other day to find that one of my new platy fish is missing a large part of his tail fin. It's not crippling or anything, he's able to swim fine.

Will this grow back? Is there anything I can do to speed his recovery?

it will gorw back on its own, SLOWLY, you can use melafix to speed recovery
