my 115 tank has cloudy water, it was over the last few days that it started developing

i tested my water and the ammonia is at 0, nitrite is 0, and nitrate at 10. I did a 50% water change today and it doesn't look any better.

any ideas?

how long has the tank been running? It could be an algae bloom, could be a bacteria bloom (my guess).... it all depends on the time the tank has been up, if you've done anything new like clean the filtration... anything.... sounds like your parameters are ok, what is in the tank? Is it planted?

mine just got cloudy too, after i changed my filter, i rinsed the new filter in tank water that was taken out of the tank..

how long does it stay cloudy? or do i need to put somethign in it ?

my tank is a eclipse 5 hex biowheel, i replced the cartide and rinsed it in old aquarium water before putting it in

the tank has been up for about 2 months, both my ammonia and nitrates spiked up just one level above good on the cards that came with the tests

before it got cloudy all levels were normal.

not sure if it matters but my SAE somehow swallowed a small rock and died the night before so he was in there for several hours before i found him , i know it was a rock because he looked funny and i used tweezers to se if i coudl see anything and you coudl see a little rock stuck in tha back of his nouth/throat :(
