started a 75 gallon 2 weeks ago with following:

rena xp3 with bio rings, via aqua skimmer, one inch aragonite,5 lbs live sand spread on top and 20 lbs cured live rock.

I put a green chromis and another skinny yellow fish in that hides in sand more than he swims.

my ammonia is in the bottom of the chart and a very low nitrate reading.

should the ammonia not be super high by now to get the cycle going or could it be close to done?

by the way I use the nutri fin test kits, are they ok?

any ideas would be great!

2 small fish, with a good seeding from live rock, won't produce a lot of ammonia. You probably won't see a huge spike--and that's a good thing for the fish. The bad part is that you will see a small spike with every fish you add, as the bacteria populations have to catch up to the new bio-load. What's the nitrite reading?
