Please help me identify my floating plants.
I was told that the plant on the lower left of the photo is water sprite. True? What is the plant with the larger leaves?

Here is another shot of the plant with the larger leaves:

As you can see, The plants are not rooted. I'm setting up a tank with flourite as substrate and about 2w per gallon, and would like to plant some of them and keep others floating. I won't use CO2.
Thanks!

Delmore,
Can you re-post these? I just have little red xs in boxes.

I'm sure all of it is "water sprite/water wisteria" Hygrophila difformis. The leaf shape will vary according to the amount of light the plant receives.

I agree with Slappy. They're most likely the same plant, Hygrophila difformis. I stole a bit of this plant from my boyfriend and I was surprised to see that the growth in my tank wasn't pinnate at all - the leaves were totally oval shaped, none of that prettiness. That was in very hard water. Since growing the exact same stem in softer water and a bit more CO2, the leaves are growing out "normal" again. Keep an eye on it to see what the new growth looks like. It will most likely be the same on both plants.

Bottom left with finer leaves is Ceratopteris thalictroides.
The one with bigger leaves is Ceratopteris cornuta.

Thanks for the responses. I did some research and the plants are indeed Ceratopteris thalictroides and Ceratopteris cornuta.
I would like to plant some of them. WOuld you attempt it using a mix of medium/large gravel? I use the liquid fertilizer.
The lighting is 2+ watts per gallon, no CO2, and tank is a 20g long. I have a bag of flourite available, but heard it is to messy to add to an existing tank. ANy thought about that?
