I found this pleco as I am looking for just the right species and I am having a very hard time finding much information on this individual, I was hoping someone might know about this particular pleco

Blue seam bushynose/ silky pleco- ancistrus cf. hoplogenys

all I know is that they grow to be about 5 inches, I was really wondering their specific needs and the cost of one. any help would be appreciated. :)

Most I can find is this and it is not much. Though maybe you can e-mail the guy who wrote it.

This page says the L # is L059a, but no info

It is a variant from the white seam pleco, L059. And of course the black is L059b.

Here they metion that it is sometimes mixed up with the Ancistrus dolichopterus L183(a?). So you might want to look them up and compare pictures.

At fishthe.net someone owns one… if you scroll down you will find her… and maybe you can e-mail her too.
