I did some quick searchin' on the net and could find no info on this creature. I found it at the LFS tonight, and was the first I have ever seen. I figured for $3.50, how could I go wrong?...hehe

Any way, They called it a shaving brush. Kinda looks like a feather duster worm, but the end is more grass like than it is feather like. And its also green in color. Looks kinda neat, but I truely have no idea what it is.( I know, Im a bad bad man)

If not for the worm tube its hooked to, I would swear its a kind of culerpa, but I'm sure its a worm of some sort, though is does not retract into the tube. Does any one have, or know where I can find some info on this critter?? TIA for any advice.

Well, I kinda found what I was looking for. It is indeed a plant, a rather high light needing plant at that. However, if any one has another name, common or scientific, I would like to have it so I can find more information on this species of plant. Thanks again.

Look under Penicillus. It's a pretty common plant, Florida/Caribbean native. Eventually it will take root and spread via shallow runners. After a while, you should have a nice sized colony of it. Be aware that it uses calcium like halimeda, so keep track of your levels and supplement if necessary.

Great.. made it a whole lot easier to find. BTW, I didn't see any specifics on the lighting requirments, best guess, how many watts per gallon you think it would need to flourish? Or for that matter, in my tank, just keep it alive? lol Thanks again.
