i was cleaning out my tank and notice a bad smell. didn't find anything so ended up doing a major water change, not thinking about my rams!
i end up doing 75% maybe more.
now since my gh was about 6 before the water change its now up to 10-11!! yes we have hard water up here. anyway. my question is can my ram recover? one looks ok the other on its side on the bottome. he came up for food this morning but back to the bottom of the tank on its side breathing heavy.
if i run and get some peat moss at my lfs, will i have a change to lower the gh in time? or is it to late?
