My new addition... 4 x Tanganicodus irsacae (Tanganyika "goby")

Well, I sold 6 x Synodontis Petricola today for $80 CDN ($69.60 US)... and I sold my HP DVD-Writer (Single Layer) for $40 CDN ($34.80 US), so that was $120 CDN ($104 US). I was in Petland Pembina today and the 4 x Tanganicodus irsacae that have been in one of the cichlid tanks for about 4-5 weeks now were still there... so after some mental process, I decided to buy them for my 150-gallon Tropheus Moorii Nkonde setup. I paid $27 CDN ($23.50 US) for each fish, plus 14% taxes. Seconds after these guys entered the tank, they were scavenging for food! I bought a 0.49 oz. (14 grams) container of TetraMin Tropical Crisps as that is what I saw these l'il gluttons munching on at the store... and sure enough, they munched on them here! My Tropheus weren't too impressed, but oh well. :) No pictures as of yet but anyway just thought I would mention that I thought the "Nkonde" would need some friends so I took the "goby" jump. :)

P.S. Please don't ask if these are Tanganicodus irsacae (Kigoma) or Tanganicodus irsacae (Mabilibili) as I am not sure!

Watching these guys is a hoot! I just did a "lunch" of spirulina sticks for the Tropheus and the "tiny" Tanganicodus irsacae (1.5", compared to my biggest Tropheus of 4.5" and about 8x the overall size) are up at the top eating... well, trying to. The spirulina stick diameter is bigger than the irsacae can open their mouths! Heh heh... good thing they are enjoying the cichlid pellets, veggie flakes, and tropical crisps. ;)

I am hoping these guys are 2M and 2F so they will pair up when mature. They have plenty of space in the tank (48 x 24 footprint) so I think their aggression should be contained.

I remember when Petland got these in there was 5 of 'em... they were a bit of rough shape after the import but have recovered beautifully... but I also remember there was 5 of 'em when first brought in... I hope someone didn't buy just one!?!?
