One step closer to that 55g SW tank.
Here is a picture. The CD is for size comparasion. The DI hasn't been attached yet.

so whaddaya gonna do with all the waste water? drives me crazy that so much is cast-off. i'm amazed noone has yet invented a less wastefull way.

Nice. I've got the same unit. Works well.
Did you get the holding tank/faucet and TDS meter as well?
The TDS meter is an essential little piece of equipment.

I need to get a tds meter. As for a holding tank and faucet, I'm going to use a 55 gal plastic drum from my local Tractor supply. I'm exclusivly using this RO/DI filter for my aquariums. So I won't be needing a faucet. As for the waste water, I'm not quit sure what to do. I may run it into the hot water heater or dump it into a well outside my house. I may just run the waste back into the housing system.
All the phosphates, etc removed from your RO water are in the waste water...in concentrated quantities. Don't use it for drinking water.

That is why I will probably dump it into the well.
