Starfish Questons

Hi All,
I got a Chocolate Chip Starfish that my wife wanted. I was curious about feeding it. I am concerned that it is not getting enough food. No matter what I do, He keeps moving to the top back corner of the tank and does not move. I do not see him scavaging at all. Do they mostly move at night or am I looking at an animal that is going to starve to death? I have also tried to put shrimp right at its mouth when it is at the top but it just gets pushed off. Any help would be appreciated.

Chocolate chips are preditory starfish and do need supplimental feedings. What you can do is put some type of meetyfood by it and see if it will move twords it, when i had a Chocolate chip it would try to eat your hand!
