I had my tank for two weeks....I had a reading of 1.5 ammonia, 5 nitrite and 25 nitrate..That was two days ago...I did a water change...Then yesterday, I added bio spira again and it is now 0.5 ammonia, 0 nitrite, and 12.5 nitrate.....I was wondering the tank looks like it is cycling, right? or no?

I added two more filters..Now I have an undergravel filter with powerheads, a penguin bio wheel power filter and a fluval internal filter..I know that is a lot for a 55 gallon but I want to get thru this..

So far, one fish death after these two weeks..I dont want more to die!

Sounds like your cycling, I have heard that Bio-Spira and other cylce "aiding" products can cause an unstable cycle so be carful. You neglected to mention how many fish you have in that tank, the more fish, the higher your ammonia/nitrite spikes will be. More filters will probly not help much unless u seed them (add filter/sponge with grown bacteria from stable tank) so just keep monitering your levels and do water changes if ammonia/nitrite gets too high. I would recommend a 25% water change if ur ammonia gets any higher than 1.0-1.5 and/or if ur nitrite hits .50

Hope that helps a lil

Just give it time and watch carfully

If you meant .5 nitrite thats as high as i personally would let it go, but if you meant 5.0 im suprised any of ur fish are alive, that is VERY high and stressful.

Bio Spira is not a cycle "aiding" product. It contains the correct and live bacteria that are established in FW aquariums during the cycling process.

Watermelon,

Please keep all the posts in the original thread so that all the information is in one place, thanks.

Sounds like the Bio Spira is doing its job. Do not change the water out for another 24 hours and keep monitoring the water.
