Is it time to replace the pH electrode?

I recalibrated my Dupla pH electrode the other day - no problems there as the 7.0 and 4.0 buffer calibration solutions read correctly after calibration (at tank temperature).

However, I thought I would check for interest sake, the pH value of a new test kit would show. To my surprise, the Dupla pH system is showing 6.6pH, but the test kit shows 7.3pH.

Even though the Dupla pH electrode is still calabrated, can it be reading incorrectly come how? The probe is between 18 months and tow years old.

If it is the pH electrode, does anyone know where (Australian sites) to get a JBL pH Electrode quickly - my lfs have a three to four week wait on getting one in. The JBL is the same as the Dupla - but half the price!!

Cheers,

Rohan
