I recently aquired a 120 gallon all-glass aquarium with dual overflows. I have had the tank running very quietly since saturday and yesterday morning one of the overflow pipes (intake) started a very low bubbling, gurgling echo sound. I called all-glass and they could not help... Tank is level, and no connections are kinked..

Thanks for your input..

You probably have air in the drain hose(s) to the sump. If your return pump runs at a slower gph than your standpipe, you wind up with this problem. Try installing ball valves, avalible at any HD or Lowes. Put them in the drain line just before it enters the sump.

The valve allows you to adjust your drain speed to perfectly match your pump speed.
