I just bought a pair of convicts. When I picked them out at the LFS, I chose one with a pink belly, stubbier dorsal fin, and short body that I know is a female. I chose another with a long shaped body and very long pointed dorsal fin that I believed to be a male.

However, the "male" with the long pointed dorsal fin now shows some peachy coloration on the belly.

Is it possible for a male to have this peachy coloration or do I have two females with different shaped bodies and dorsal fins?

If I can get them to stay still long enough I will try to post some pictures.

i've never seen the "peachy" coloration on a male. So you have a females unless you have some sort of hybrid.

I have found the easiest way to sex a convict is by the dorsal fin even the small one have the point for femals and rounded ends for the males you just have to look really close

the males don't have the orange coloration. only the males do. The males have a more stubby body and arn't as elongated as the females, but the fins are the best way to tell
