I went into a PetSmart today to look at tanks; while I was there I looked to see what kind of fish they had. I noticed that they had angels dime-quarter size for $6.99 in the tank was also one breeding size Sunset Angel (half dollar size) I asked the clerk how much that guy was and he said he was also 6.99 So of course I had to buy it..
I just thought that it was a pretty good deal seeing how dime-quarter size angels are running around $7 around me.

Also since my angels in my other tanks are starting to get bigger I would to quarantine this guy for at least a week. what are some methods that you people use?

By the way, in Columbus Ohio, Petsmart is the only place that has 3-4 inch sized clown loaches for $8.49 (others have mainly 1-1.5 inches and are the larger are priced much much higher). I have bought 8 so far and all have been healthy

Yea, im suprised this guy looks like he his in tip-top shape. Looks as good as the one i raised myself. Fins are in good condition and what not. Im guessing he has been at that store for some time and just never got bought?

There fish look really good at PetSmart but im not a big fan of the dogs that they sell there.

people always say to buy your fish at local stores rather than "big box" but honestly i have had more luck with fish from "big box" than all my local fish stores.

We have two fish stores in my town and both of them have sold me diseased fish on more than one occassion.

Yea, i think its really a case by case bases. Prob has alot to do with the store manger. I remember back in the day my uncle was a manager at a chain pet store... He's and animal/fish lover so I would have to say that the fish in his store got taken care of as well as any LFS's fish.

Any more its hard for me to find LFS with good healthy fish, while still having a good selection and a willingness to special order. But i do have prob 3 LFS that are REALLY good. But they are all atleast an hour away from me. One even get WILD ANGELS. which i had never seen before.
