In my 75 I have a problem. It seems that I have little tiny water bubbles floating about in the tank. They'll get pushed down by the water flow then back up. When my water gets a tad low from evaporation it happens to. Did a 20% water change Saturday.
Well my Red Hook has these little spots or bubbles all over him. Its hard to tell if its the whiteish fluffs of Ich or just bubbles sticking to him. Thats because of his silver colorNobody else has it except for 1 barb on the tail fin. I've seem the bubbles stick before then come off after awhile. Nobody new has been added except for a dwarf cichlid but he had the "spots" before that.
Any ideas on how to rule one or the other out? Will it hurt to treat it as Ich even if it isn't. Best way to treat for it? I do have some Melflex on hand that I haven't used before. Got it for an injured Firemouth in another tank but she died before I could use it. Will it work / apply?
BTW. I noticed that the Red Hook has TEETH. Maybe that explains what happen to my Bala that has come up MIA. Just noticed it today. Been gone maybe a week a best. Looked in, around and behind tank. No Bala. Even interrogated the cat, no confession as of yet but she'll break eventually.
