Hey all, I got a couple questions... I bought this piece of LR yesterday and it has a large clam on it, it blends very much in with the LR and I thought it was untill it moved.
Now I'm not sure its a clam but it seems like it, anyone know the care of one, I guess its a filter feeder... its still new in the tank but it is extremelly shy and I only saw it open briefly a couple times.
Also, I got these orangish/red slug looking things that look like they could sting the hell out of me. They are orangish/red and probablly 2" long. Bristleworm maybe? Any ideas? Should I burn them or keep them (not literally)?

We really need a picture of the worms and the clam. Care of clams can be found on google etc.

But the main things needed is intense lighting, usually MH, and calcium lvls of 400ppm or higher.

as for a clam, i get them all the time on LR....leave them alone, theyll be fine.........as for the other, a pic would help , but if a bristleworm, leave them alon also, theyre good scavengers!!! look up "bristleworm" on google.com images... to know what you have.

sorry no pic, but it might be a barnacle actually because it doesn't look like any of the clams I saw. What I have is very plain looking at least from the outside (it hasn't opened up fully). I've seen barnacles and those things are usually very thin but this isn't. So I should just leave it be? Will it eat phytoplakton or brine shrimp.
