I was just wondering if they would be okay for a communtiy tank? Size 55G.

Some community fish work well and others wouldn't. I'm planning on having them in my 46Gallon when its cycled :) but it will be mostly tetras and livebearers. I think you just have to be super cautious that they aren't mislabed and end up being clawed frogs.

what's in the main tank, fish-wise...... I agree with hurricane, make sure you are absolutely sure what you are getting is indeed a dwarf and not the clawed frog, otherwise you could end up supporting the frog in your 55 asking what could be housed with him. An easy way to spot the difference is the Clawed (which you don't want) does not have hhis front feet webbed, they only have their back feet webbed, but the dwarves do, all 4 are webbed on the dwarves.

Also you might wanna research their eating habits...they dont eat flakes andddd anything you lay on the bottom will probably get scarfed by the fish before they find it...also its recommended they be in pairs or even 3's
