Driftwood?

I got some driftwood from my grandparents that came from the coast of British Columbia, in salt water. my question is would it be safe to add fish after a month or so after it is cured, or will that kill them? :confused:

Just boil some water and let it soak in that and repete the process this is what I have done to all my drift wood w/ no problems it will also make it sink.
