New Nano Reef Set up question about the sand bed

I decided to start a 5 1/2 gal nano reef got it all set up pre rinsed the sand like the bag said to do and put it in the tank then added the water ended up with alot of sand floating on top of the tank which has all settled now but there is alot of air in the sand bed so it makes it look like some of the sand is still floating is this normal or is there something I should do or did I do something wrong? :help:

You can just stir the sand bed to release the air/gas in there, other wise it may become TOXIC.
