How about this for a difference in siblings?

Harry Tolen will be happy to know that I have bred one of mine with one of his...the goal we both established for extending the bloodline of the fish.

And I have this photo of what might be the pretiest Vieja species that I won. I bought it from Jeff as a Vieja Gutulattum. I posted it on The Cichlid Room Companion and received a response from Jaun Miquel that it was in fact a Zonatum. Either way it is an extrememly colorful and active cichlid.

So...just to make sure I'm getting it correct, the two fish at the top both came from my shipment? How big are they? They are both much larger than the ones that I kept out here, that's for sure. Details of what you're doing with them would be greatly appreciated. I'm doing weekly water changes, but I probably still have too many in the 75g tank together, and I probably need to feed more.

The "sport" is unlike any of the other 500 synspila I have raised over the last 17 years (all from the same bloodline). I wonder if its coloration will change once it reaches full size.

The fish are about two-three inches. The one on top is the largest of the batch. The only difference would be big water. I put ten or fifteen in the pond and another dozen solo in a 180 gallon tank. 50% water change, fed twice a day. First meal protein (krill, shrimp, scallops, earthworm flake) Second meal veggies (red leaf lettuce, spirulina, peas and carrots) Not all at the same time of course. I vary the mixture. I fast them once a week. Temperature 75 degres. pH 7.1 - 7.5 All of the water here is relatively hard.
