Very nice! She's a beaut! Aren't Jags awesome? I used to have a 12" male who grew up in a 40g by his lonesome. He would recognize me coming from 30 feet away and start wagging his tail and splashing around, but if anyone else came over, he'd be out for blood, charging at the glass (hard enough to be audible) and flairing his gills with teeth showing. He was way too rowdy for other fish. At 6", he almost removed the lower jaw of a 12" oscar, and at 8", he killed my 10" wolf fish. But the personality and intelligence of these fish is amazing! He eventually got too big for the 40g and went to a friend's 155 bowfront with 3 18" S.A. redtail cats. He's been happy as a clam there for over a year. -Long live Manny!
BTW- I've heard from more than one source that the Managuense (Jaguar Cichlid) and Dovii (Wolf Cichlid) are THE most intelligent of all fish (including saltwater)! I believe it the way mine behaved.

shes in a 55 with 2 whisper 60s and a 250 watt stealth heater. she is definitely the only fish in there.

You should get her a bigger tank. Maybe a boyfriend too, to keep her busy and not feel too lonely.. Just a suggestion.

shes doing okay in this one for now, if she gets any bigger i will pursue a bigger tank. and as for a boyfriend, that would be awesome to actually successfully breed them. its nice to see a HUGE male. the national aquarium in Washington DC has a male that is every bit of 18", too bad he has hole in the head. if she does end up in a bigger tank i would like it big enough to get her a boyfriend, although from past experience it would be very weird to see her with anything, and not be killing it.

Ever thought of getting rid of her and start over with a baby pair??? Unless you can find a big male that she cant beat up on..

i would go with a BIG male. i like her too much to get rid of her. even if i started with a baby group to hope for a pair, i wouldnt get rid of her.
