In an attempt to create better enviroment for a fish my hubby had, we upgraded tanks. We did the research, but apparently not enough (please do not flame me we are doing the best we can). In the new tank was our old very aggresive hybrid female (still not sure as to exactly what she is other than a malawi) and what turns out to be a lombardoi male.
This is not what it was labeled when we purchased him because we sure as heck would not have got him. We placed them in together (as recommended on another thread). Needless to say after two weeks the female has been beat to hell.
So she has been pulled and placed in another tank (no Kribs we did not put her back in the little tank).
So here is the question:we are treating her with Furaloid to avoid bacterial infections from the bites she recieved. Does anyone have experience with the product (it was recommended at the LFS). Anything else we should look for?
Other than that she is a bit tattered and has a bit of bruising. She is coming around in the new tank and eating again. A bit of her original personality is coming back.
