My red dwarf gourami seems to have lost his appetite these past couple of days. It could be because my tank is not completely cycled, I checked the water last night and there was less than .25ppm of ammonia, but there was .25ppm of nitrites. I have still been doing 20-25% water changes daily. Also, should I change or clean the filters? I have a external whisper and an internal canister filter both running.
All the other info on my tank is in my last post titled-Help Please.

Usually fish stop eating due to environmental stress. Though 0.25 ammonia and 0.25 Nitrites is not too high it is stressful on the fish and could be the culprit. Change the amount of water changed to 50% when you do your routine and see what happens.

Cool, I'll try that.
rrkss: What would be a good fish to add after the tank is done cycling? One that would get along with the Gourami.

I'm a barb fan. Get some gold barbs. They are nice and mellow and make a stunning display with the cherry barbs. Just make sure you get at least 6 of them because unlike the cherries, gold barbs are a schooling species and need the company of other gold barbs to feel safe and flourish.
