I have battled against inflammed gills on my guppies for the past couple of years and all the fish I have bought or breed have died and only 2 fish are left. It would seem that the problem is caused by some form of virus and I have decided to start all over again.
The tank currently only has 2 guppies and a bunch of small snails (it may be coincidence but my problem stated when I bought plants that came with some 'free' snails, so I am anxious to get rid of the snails as well)!
I want to recycle my tank making sure that any trace of any nasties are killed in the process. What is the best way of doing this?
The tank is an 15 gallon AA Hexagonal, I have removed all plants and I use solely the inbuilt filtration.
