Yes, I'm getting another short story published. And...it's erotica. It will be published in early Feburary at a pay only membership site. :)

I'm excited, though I knew it would be accepted, but nervous because the readers rate the stories and the type of feedback you get either ups or downs your chances of better pay and/or response from the editors.

For shame, woman. How dare you post your story on a pay-only site? I guess it's just too bad if somebody's credit card is maxxed out and can't read it until next month. I'm sure you'll sleep just fine. Congrats on the publication. The validation feels nice, doesn't it?

Thanks Wesley. I kinda wish it wasn't a pay only site, but a lot of the free story sites (erotica) aren't to my taste. I really researched possible places to send my work (wish is more like Romantica), and wasn't happy with a lot of stories I saw getting published on them.

After getting an author's three-day pass at the site, I was more comfortable with them. My first pay isn't anything, another three-day pass. But if I pick up some fans and draw more readers in, then things get better the more I get published there.

Well, not really. There really was fireworks in the story. *Laughing* Really. It's set around the Fourth of July.
