quick question my friend told me that oscars like a high ph around 8 is this true? i thought that if you keep the ph at the same level that the fish will be fine. any thoughts?

if fact, oscars are from soft, acidic to neutral waters ... not high pH water. if you keep it stable however, oscars will do well in almost any but extreme water condition.
