I have 5 bunches of sword grass in my tank which were planted last week. On this forum I was told that the bulb I had was not enough and that I should switch to a dual.
Over the last few days I did notice that the grass was beginning to lose color. I went to my 2 local LFS and unfortunately neither had a dual strip light nor a single one to fit my tank. Seems that for bowfronts tank lighting is particular to the tank. Anyway, the manager at one of them suggested I change the standard bulb that came with the tank to an Aqua-Glo Aquarium Lamp. On the package it states, "Intensifies fish colors and promotes plant growth" and "Provides proper spectral output to stimulate plant growth".
He also suggested I use Leaf Zone from API which would help stop the plants from dying.
Well I purchased both, so my question is how sound was my investment?
