I recently planted two identical 2.5g betta tanks with anacharis and java fern. (Both from the same stock of each type.)
One of my bettas got slightly rotty so I used some of those anti-fungal tabs and a bit of mela/pimafix combination. The other betta was slightly frayed too so he got a little of the mela/pima but no antifungal because he didn't need it.
Now, the anacharis in the tank that got the antifungal tabs is literally dead. Completely dead. The java fern is perfectly healthy. I know certainly well that I didn't overdose the tabs, and I conducted regular water changes throughout the treatment. The tank that received only the mela/pima is thriving and even has a slight algae bloom.
So here I am with one tank where all of the plants are doing well. And another with the skeletons of a once thriving colony of anacharis. Could it be that Jungle Fungus Cure Tabs killed my anacharis? The scientific method says so. What do you think?
