beautiful fish...

How do you tell the difference between the white and gold saum?

I can't tell your fish from a gold saum... I prefer the red outline on
the tail and dorsal but the white is also pretty in gold saums??

I'm in the market for a gt and would like to know the difference
between both the white and gold before proceeding, thanks..

Gold Saum have a red outline on the tail white saum have white outline hence the name.

so you're saying all white outlined gt's are going to be white saum, right?

Do you mind if I ask you how much you Paid for a white saum and how you found him? Did you order on the net?

I just spent some time doing a little research and this is what I've come up with. True "white saums" are extremely rare.. they don't have any yellow, orange, or gold on their body like the "white edged" gold saum or the ''orange(or red) edged'' gold saum.

So, there are gold saums with white edges on their dorsal and tails as well as orange(or red) edged gold saums..don't assume just because it has white edges on it's dorsal and tail that it's a white saum.

A true white saum will not have any yellow, orange, or gold and they command a higher price... so, if you're in the market for a true white saum, make sure it has no yellow, orange or gold on it's body.. otherwise, it's a white edged gold saum....
Gian Krlo, your gt appears to be a true white saum and a very beautiful one at that.. congrats..
