i think i'm overstocked

my ten gallon tank is a very unplanned tank. infact nearly everything in it has been moved in because it didn't work in one of my other tanks. can anyone tell me if i am offically overstocked?

the originals
6 hengeli rasboras (very recommendable! very tough and so cute and schoolie)
2 peppered cory
2 kuhli loach

the refugees
1 panda cory
1 female yellow panchax (aka golden wonder killifish... her husband jumped the tank :()
2 (more) kuhli loach (so a total of 4 kuhlis)
1 neon swordtail
1 platy
2 white cloud mountain minnows (one is albino)

i think thats all. so how am i doing? have i oversteped the mark?
 
Yes, over the limit of fish, you are. Buy at least a 20g, you should.

awwwwwwwwwwww nuts!!! yoda what should i do!?! is it incredible horrible and mean if i leave them? they have been ok for a while like that. i can't afford a new tank right now... infact i can barely afford to eat :( i'm hungry. this really, really sucks.... could i move some of them into my 5 gallon with my fighter fish? if so which ones would go and not eat his tail? *cries*
 
You could probably get away with moving the Corys in with your Betta. Depending on thier size of course. The loaches are probably too big though. Also depends on your betta. If hes aggressive he may not tolerate even the Corys. You may want to consider donating to a LFS just for the well-being of your fish. Take care.
 
you could leave them all in there if you do more water changes. maybe throw in some low light plant like hornwort to soak up some of the nitrate. stick a filter sponge in there just for more surface area for bacteria to grow on.

Just lots of water changes like change 30% every other day or something and it should be okay. I mean if you can't buy another tank then this is the best you can do.
 
none of my lfs accept 'returns' or 'donations' (hence the fishy accumulation). i went around asking the other day when the swordtail became a refugee. at the moment the loaches and cories are still small and the swordtail isn't quite full size yet.

hmm i also have a 3ft tank but its already full. it has two angels two pearl gouramis 3 yoyo loaches and 2 bristlenose. i think if i added any fish this small to the 3ft tank they would become feeder fish ><

i've been doing twice a week water changes and i don't feed them too much. is that enough? lol all i need now if for the platy to have babies... then i'll be royally buggered

my filter is full of floss and peat(to lower my tap water ph) already and my nitrate aren't off the wall or anything. is that the main concern with over stocking? we'll see how it all pans out i guess

any suggestions for moving fish from one tank to another to lessen my bioload would be appreciated. i think my fighter would tolerate some company as long as the company doesn't think his fins would be tastey.
