I just got a bunch of driftwood and have had it boiling for a few hours and it still wont sink :mad2: :mad2: Any tips are appricated :thm:

Thanks for the link I am aware of all those solutions I have about 25 pices so I would really like to find a way to get it to stay down for good by itself.

Tie it down with the rock with Purple String!

that should keep it down!!!

The best way to do it is to let it soak in a tub/Bucket after boiling, this does two things, Continues to leach out Tannis while it is soaking and also waterlogs it! I may take 1-2weeks to become water logged, The last peice I done took about 1 1/2 weeks to become water logged. I also do daily water changes in the tub to remove the tannis that has been released!

Good news to report I sunk 4 pices just by boiling them for HOURS and throwing them into the sink cold water. Only 20+ more to go :p:

25 pieces!?! What the heck are you putting all these into? Are you starting a pet store? :)

Well I am starting up a 60-65g not sure mostly drift wood decor so atleast 15+ pices will go in there and I have 2 more 55's I am adding abit to. BTW I hope no one else has to buy 25 pices of driftwood as it is very expensive

that's a hell of a lot of driftwood.

to whoever said putting it in a bath tub.. thats a good idea but where would you bathe? :(

if i ever want some i think ill spend a day at the beach hunting!
