My turn :)

Most favorite has to be
Poe
Robert Frost
Rabbie Burns (for you, John ;) )
Ezra Pound

And one of my all time favourites, he's the best for kids and adults: Shel Silverstein

"Sahra Cynthia Sylvia Stout
Would not take the garbage out!
She'd scour the pots and scrape the pans,
Candy the yams and spice the hams,
And though her daddy would scream and shout,
She simply would not take the garbage out.

And so it piled up to the ceilings:
Coffee grounds, potato peelings,
Brown bananas, rotten peas,
Chunks of sour cottage cheese.

. . ."

My favourite Silverstein books are The Giving Tree (so sad!) and Where the Sidewalk Ends

Other favourite book has to be Reflections on a Gift of Watermelon Pickle Given to Me by a Friend Named Felicity with a lot of poems by different poets.

Rabbie Burns (for you, John)The first two lines of the poem 'To A Mouse' always makes me laugh.

Wee, sleeket, cowran, tim'rous beastie,
O, what panic's in thy breastie!

I like E.A. Poe best. I also like Burns, Frost and Kipling. Gunga Din is one of my favorites.
